The Power of Clinical Hypnotherapy
In the realm of therapeutic interventions, one approach stands out for its intriguing blend of ancient wisdom and modern science: Clinical Hypnotherapy. Often misunderstood or misrepresented by popular culture, clinical hypnotherapy is a powerful tool that offers profound benefits for those seeking to enhance their mental, emotional, and physical well-being
At its core, clinical hypnotherapy harnesses the power of hypnosis—a state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility—to facilitate therapeutic change. Contrary to common misconceptions perpetuated by stage performances or Hollywood portrayals, clinical hypnotherapy is a collaborative process between the therapist and the client, aimed at achieving specific therapeutic goals. By inducing a trance-like state, hypnotherapy enables individuals to access their subconscious mind, where deeply rooted beliefs, emotions, and memories reside. Within this receptive state, individuals are more open to suggestion and can explore and reframe limiting beliefs, overcome negative patterns, and tap into their innate capacity for healing and transformation.
The scope of clinical hypnotherapy is remarkably vast, encompassing a wide range of mental, emotional, and physical health concerns. From alleviating stress and anxiety to managing chronic pain, overcoming phobias, and enhancing performance in various domains, hypnotherapy offers versatile applications. It has been effectively used in the treatment of insomnia, depression, PTSD, addiction, weight management, and even in preparing for surgical procedures or childbirth. The versatility of hypnotherapy lies in its ability to address the underlying psychological factors contributing to various conditions, empowering individuals to make profound and lasting changes from within.
What sets clinical hypnotherapy apart as a therapeutic modality is its ability to bypass the conscious mind’s barriers and access the subconscious, where deep-seated beliefs and behavioural patterns reside. By accessing this reservoir of the mind, hypnotherapy can facilitate profound shifts in perception, behaviour, and emotional well-being. Moreover, hypnosis induces a state of profound relaxation, triggering the body’s innate healing mechanisms and promoting a sense of inner calm and balance.
Unlike some traditional forms of therapy that rely primarily on conscious reasoning and analysis, hypnotherapy engages the holistic nature of the mind, body, and spirit, fostering comprehensive healing and transformation.
In the journey toward self-discovery and personal growth, clinical hypnotherapy serves as a powerful ally, offering a gateway to unlocking the untapped potential of the mind. By harnessing the innate power of hypnosis, individuals can transcend limitations, overcome obstacles, and cultivate a deeper connection with their inner resources. Whether seeking relief from specific symptoms, exploring unresolved issues, or striving for self-improvement, clinical hypnotherapy offers a safe, effective, and empowering path toward holistic healing and transformation.
Embark on this transformative journey and unlock the boundless possibilities that await within the depths of your subconscious mind.

Anxiety
Clinical hypnotherapy can be a great asset in the treatment of specific mental health anxiety-related and stress disorders. Hypnosis allows the client to experience a deep level of relaxation, which helps to reduce levels of anxiety and stress. This facilitates the clinical hypnotist and client to focus on underlying issues, addressing and confronting them, and changing the mindset that surrounds them.
This allows us to work together to enable you to develop a set of valuable skills, which you can use to manage anxiety and stress related symptoms, whilst addressing the core issues impacting on your day-to-day life.
Weight Loss
Are you fed up with counting calories? Following fad-diets? Not being able to eat all the foods that you love. Do you have an unhealthy relationship with food?
We will use clinical hypnotherapy as a revolutionary way to re-educate your mind and body to work together, creating a more manageable desired shape and size. This is ideal for clients who struggle with sticking to a weight loss or management programme; those that regularly overeat; those who continually make unhealthy food choices; or have a damaged and potentially harmful relationship with food and body-image.
What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical hypnotherapy is a type of mind–body intercession which uses hypnosis to treat a variety of medical or psychological conditions. Hypnosis allows an individual to experience a deep level of mental, physical, and emotional relaxation, which is very healing.
In this completely safe, hypnotic trance-like state, there is an increased level of focused attention, and heightened suggestibility, where it is possible to communicate directly with the subconscious mind and issue it safe instructions.
What is it used for?
Hypnosis can be used to modify unwanted behaviour patterns like stopping smoking, overcoming phobias, helping with weight loss, weight management, or overeating.
It can also help to increase positive behaviour patterns, such as increased confidence and calmness, assist with relaxation and stress-management, and reduce anxiety.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a life-changing modality for anyone longing for personal healing and growth. It can be used effectively wherever there is suppressed and buried emotions; or repeating negative patterns of behaviour.
How does it work?
Clinical hypnotherapy has been compared to the relaxed, floaty, feeling we experience just before we drift off to sleep. When we are conscious yet calm, it can almost feel like we are viewing things through a long lens. Other people say it feels akin to daydreaming, where we can watch what is happening with a relaxed detachment.
A qualified clinical hypnosis practitioner will lead the client into a deeply relaxed state. Once there, they will use previously agreed suggestions – for example, to suggest you no longer want to smoke. Once completed, they will gradually bring you back to full consciousness, where most people will feel refreshed and calm.
